Plot[]

Part One: Jed and Dennis lug their goods across the street as they open the "Viaduct Bargain Boutique". Ena finds Len feeling sorrier for himself than Jerry and tells him to get a grip of himself. Stan sells a picture frame to Jed for 10/-. Hilda suspects foul play when she catches him in the front parlour. Elsie collects Jim's washing from No.13. Hilda questions some pink lipstick on his collar but Elsie says it's hers. Len finds Jerry awake in hospital and apologises for putting him there. Jerry forgives him and assures him that he doesn't want out of the partnership. He tells Len not to worry about the brewery contract - they'll survive. Hilda roots through Jed's stall and finds the framed photo of her mother that Stan pinched from the front parlour. Jed offers it to her for £1 but she snatches it back.

Part Two: Stan gives Hilda money for bingo in order to earn her forgiveness. She spites him by using half of it to buy marzipans - her mother's favourite - which Stan hates. Elsie catches Len with a bottle at No.13 and rows with him, saying he nearly killed Jerry with his drinking. He takes notice when even Stan sides with her. Ena visits Jerry and cheers him up by pointing out a nurse that's sweet on him. Jim tries to buy a snooker table from Jed and gets hot-tempered when Jed sends him up. Ena tells Len that she doesn't trust Ray as he never looks her in the eye. Hilda treats Ena to bingo at Stan's expense. As they set off, they see Ray canoodling with Lucille. Ena thinks their affair will end in tears.
