Plot[]

Matt and Maxine are consumed with guilt after their night together. Ashley arrives back from hospital and Charlie arrives back from her adoptive mother's house. Both are unaware of what has gone on. Charlie has decided to search for her real mother. Rita gets her own back on Karen by playing the radio very loudly at 5.00am when she gets up to do the papers. After another slanging match they decide to call a truce. All the girls are feeling hung-over and Edna is nowhere to be seen. Peter only has twenty-four hours to raise the money to buy the bookies but he has an idea. Sally is worried that people think she has one man after another after a confrontation with Blanche in the Rovers and tells Martin she would like to cool things just for a while. Tyrone sees Fiz all over Kirk and is jealous. He tries to talk to Fiz and she grabs him and snogs him just as Kirk walks round the corner. Duggie goes to bed for an afternoon rest and finds Edna in his bed. She is dead.
