Plot[]

Part One: Kevin sends Sam out to buy Greasol for the garage as they've run out. Tracy invites Deirdre and Ken to visit her in London at the weekend. Ken's keen but Deirdre thinks it's too short notice. Maxine demands that Ashley takes time off work to come home and have sex when she demands it in the hope of conceiving. Pat sells Sam a cheap tin of Greasol so that his nephew can keep the rest of Kevin's money. Steve doesn't think Vik and Karen will last. Les passes his taxi-driving test, much to Steve's surprise.

Part Two: Vik and Steve tell Les they can't employ him as the business is on its knees. Les is upset that they've fobbed him off with an obvious lie. Boris Weaver has to close the butcher shop as Ashley and Maxine are still lovemaking. Ken asks Dev for time off work on Deirdre's behalf. Dev says it's no problem but Deirdre is furious that Ken's undermined her and refuses to commit to the trip. At the school parents' evening, Charlie warns Gail and Martin that Sarah's work is slipping and she will have to work very hard to pull her marks back. Eileen mentions to Janice that Street Cars are desperate for drivers. Deirdre agrees to go to London. Eileen annoys Charile by showing up late without apology. She gets defensive when Charlie says that Todd isn't doing his homework and it's her job to make sure that he does. Janice and Les make Steve admit that he lied. Les and Steve row in the Rovers and keen to avoid a scene, Steve agrees to give Les a week's trial.
