Plot[]

Part One: Ken receives a letter telling him he is through to the next stage of his magistrate's application. He is pleased but still downhearted about Peter. Fred declares that the Rovers' fridge is now for pub use only and puts a padlock on it. Rita helps Anthony pack. Anthony is sad to be leaving behind so many memories. Glen invites Sarah over to his house on Saturday while his parents are in London. She tells him she wouldn't be allowed. No.11 goes up for rent. Alex Swinton visits Roy and Hayley. He apologises for his previous actions and hints that Wayne wanted a pair of £60 trainers but they couldn't afford them. Roy gives him the money although he and Hayley both know that Wayne will never get anything. Sally tells Kevin about Danny's proposal. Kevin's surprised that she didn't see it coming. She admits that she's scared what it'll do to the girls if things go wrong again. Peter returns and apologises for guilt tripping Ken but still wants his help. Liz tells Deirdre that the 5th would be her and Jim's 27th anniversary. She says she doesn't know how much longer she can go on putting on a brave face.

Part Two: Kevin puts his feelings about Danny aside and admits that a lot of what went wrong with him and Sally was his fault. He is disappointed when Sally admits that she does love Danny. Danny gets drunk at the Rovers as he waits for Sally to say 'no'. Martin tells him not to give up hope. Peter tells Ken that he has nothing going for him and he needs him to throw him a lifeline. Deirdre thinks he has no shame and urges Ken not to fall for his blackmail. Anthony tells Emily that he and Isabel weren't close, even before her illness. Sarah tells Candice she is worried that Glen is only going out with her because he thinks she is 'easy'. Liz has to stop Fred from serving himself at the Rovers. Sally is furious when Danny comes home drunk and slams the door in his face. Ken tells Peter he will lie to the police for him.
