Plot[]
Part One: Jack keeps Lucille locked out to teach her a lesson. Annie persuades him to let her in but he doesn't believe Lucille's excuse that her watch stopped. Annie thinks she needs understanding, not being dictated to. Hilda wants Irma to have the white wedding she never had. Annie assures Lucille that the Walkers trust her. Ken tries to apologise for rowing with Len but is wound up when Len tells him to keep his mouth shut in future. Lucille's workmates start to resent her when she brags that the boss has said she's destined for better things with her qualifications. Customs and Excise inspect the Rovers' cellar, and take samples of the beer.
Part Two: Annie worries there's been a tip-off about the beer being watered down. Lucille is sent to Coventry at Mitchell's for being stuck up. She tells Len she's going to rise above it. The Walkers agree to give their ward more space and respect her as a woman. Annie gives her a bedroom key to give her privacy. Hilda is upset when Irma jokes that she and David plan to elope. Ken and Len continue to snipe at each other. Stan can't sleep from worrying about the cost of the wedding. As David assures him that they don't care about a big wedding, Hilda convinces Irma that deep down her fiancé wants to push the boat out. She encourages Irma to push David to buy No.3. Annie dreads Customs and Excise's findings.
