Plot
Linda assures Mark she does care for Mike and is confused and scared of her feelings for him. She begs him not to think bad of her and promises to stay away from him. Gail is concerned when Sarah worries about putting on weight. Nervous Les gets drunk before his court hearing. Martin tells Rebecca he loved seeing her with David as it felt so natural and perfect. The Battersbys are amazed when Les tells the court that he only defrauded to feed his family, including his pregnant wife. Horrified Janice has to back up his story. The Magistrate sentences him to one hundred and fifty hours of community service and he's ordered to repay the money. Steve sells the fireplaces and gives Pat his £750 share. Linda makes an effort to be nice to Clare Machin. Dev's business suffers as the neighbours boycott the shop. He decides to sort out the mess himself.
