Plot[]
Dennis goes back for his shoes in the morning as Sandra hid them during a party game. He also picks up his handkerchief which Sandra has smeared her lipstick on. Sandra doesn't let Dennis see her as she's wearing a face pack. Ena and Tom Schofield prepare for their flight at Ringway Airport. Minnie treats her friend to a new pair of bedsocks and tries not to get emotional. Stan can't sleep next to Hilda and nods off in the Rovers. He wakes up when Jack pulls his pint away. Ena has Minnie and Albert over for boiled ham and parkin, with Emily joining them. Elsie digs out her wartime photos to see if Tom knows any of her old flames from Burtonwood back in Nebraska. Dennis is taken with Tom's suggestion of knocking down their dividing wall to have a large lounge. Lucille amuses herself by thwarting Dennis's attempts to avoid Sandra. Ena packs her things for America. After leaving the vestry, she goes back for her picture of Alfred. Stan lugs her heavy cases into the taxi. Ena purchases a final bottle of milk stout and says her goodbyes at the Rovers. Minnie sees her and Tom off outside the airport, as she can't face watching them take off. Ena cries as she tells her friend to look after herself. Emily tries to catch Ena to refund her money for the Speedwell Cavern outing but just misses her and gives Minnie a lift home. The regulars wonder who's on the phone at the Rovers when the caller speaks to Len and Lucille. Lucille excitedly reveals that Harry has arrived in Liverpool and is on his way.
