Plot[]
Fred grows desperate to shift his stock of reindeer meat. When Rita goes down with a cold, Norris forces her to rest and nurses her. Natalie is stunned to discover none of her staff intend to work on New Year's Eve. She rants at them all, telling them she is not going to run the place on her own. Ken tricks Audrey into supporting the millennium party by calling in the press and inviting her to have her photograph taken outside the salon. She tells the reporter, Phil Page, that the party has her full support. Leanne takes Steve and Jez Quigley to Toyah's party. She finds it boring so Jez gives her something on the sly. Rebecca is stunned when Martin tells her that Gail thinks they're having an affair. Natalie threatens to sack her staff if they can't work out who's working New Year. Toyah is nervous at her party and gets upset when wasted Leanne makes a scene and drags everyone off to a club. Martin tells Gail that she has to accept Rebecca is only a friend. She admits it's her who has the problem; she's feeling insecure. Spider comforts Toyah when she breaks down, feeling Leanne has ruined their party.
