Plot[]
Florrie has made her decision on whether to go to Canada with Norman. Nosy customers such as Ena fail to prise the information out of her. Jerry sleeps in after his bonding session with Irma. Elsie gets Dennis to call in sick from Miami Modes and waits for Norman to inform her of Florrie's decision. Florrie herself arrives instead and tells Elsie she's going to Canada. She's excited for the future for the first time in years and thanks Elsie for helping her to see that she had to grasp the opportunity. Elsie wishes her friend well, masking her own upset. Len tries to cheer Elsie up but she just wants to be left alone. Dennis is excited to be invited to a social gathering at his boss's flat. The regulars wish Norman well at the Rovers. Ena encourages Jerry not to dwell on the past and be grateful that he's free from Myra. Charlie is afraid to ask Ena for her 1/4 insurance money when he owes her £50. Elsie goes to the shop for cigarettes and interrupts Florrie and Norman as they're saying goodbye. She rushes home and Norman goes after her. Elsie thinks Norman has been avoiding her all day but he says he was busy. Elsie doesn't feel she has a right to mope as she's the other woman. Norman tells her she should be the one going to Canada. They have a passionate goodbye kiss before Norman leaves for Iceland. From No.11, Elsie hears the taxi pull away.
