Plot[]
Bet tells the Rovers' staff that Charlie is working away in Hamburg. She can't face the public, fearing they'll all have guessed. She tells Raquel how Tanya got back at her by stealing her man. She feels humiliated and Raquel tries to comfort her. Mike offers Kevin chauffeuring work. Band manager Marcus Saunders gives Steve a huge order to make merchandise for a UK tour. Steve bluffs his way through the deal, saying he can handle it. Don tells Gail he'll tell Nicky he's working nights and then he'll have to return home. To bring Bet out of herself, Raquel suggests a tips contest. Jack joins them. Steve works out he needs £20,000 to clinch the deal. Don tells Nicky he'll have to go home as he's working nights. The bar staff rush around trying to please the customers for tips. Roger Crompton has tea with the Wiltons and feels for Mavis, married to insensitive Derek. Raquel and Bet draw equal in the tips contest. They spend the winnings on cocktails after hours. Raquel smokes to practice for modelling and gives Bet tips on walking gracefully. She shows Bet her way of keeping hated people's names in the knife drawer and Bet writes out a whole list to put in the drawer.
