[[Don Brennan|Don]] ventures into the [[Rovers Return Inn|Rovers]]. He gets his disabled cards and looks forward to getting a new taxi. Against his better judgement he lends the stickers to Jack until he gets his car. [[Ivy Brennan|Ivy]] is hurt to discover Don has been in the [[Coronation Street (Weatherfield)|street]] without calling on her. She feels that no one is interested in her anymore. Jack hasn't got a bank account and doesn't like the idea of paying his wages into [[Vera Duckworth|Vera]]'s. [[Gail Platt|Gail]] tells [[Martin Platt|Martin]] she'd like them to go away for a few days. [[Richard Willmore]] tells [[Bet Gilroy|Bet]] she'll be getting a new till which will be linked with the brewery computer. He also tells her she's overstaffed and someone will have to go. Plot
