Coronation Street Wiki

Audrey refuses to work in the shop because of everyone talking about Alf and Vivian Barford. Bet convinces Alec to forget about the slanderous caller; it could have been anyone and the damage has been done. Raquel excitedly tells Curly that a photographer gave her his card after the show. Alf accuses Deirdre of mud-slinging. Deirdre makes him aware of the poster on Ken's window. Alf tries to get hold of Ken at school to demand that it be taken down. When Ken doesn't get back to him, Alf lets himself into the flat and tears up the poster. Bet visits Audrey and makes her see that folk who matter will know the rumour about Alf and Vivian isn't true. Audrey decides to stand by Alf and returns to work. Vera starts getting above herself at work and tells Reg to stack his own shelves. Reg tells Curly to sort her out. Raquel arranges to see the photographer. Ken accuses Alf of illegal entry, trespassing and illegal damage. Alf argues he has a right to enter the flat as it's his property and threatens to evict Ken if he persists. Phil confesses to Deirdre that he made the call and sent Jeff Longton and offers to step aside if that's what she wants. She reads him the riot act before forgiving him. Curly warns Vera that Mrs Maxwell-Glover will check up on the references. Ken tells Pete Waring of the Gazette about the incident with Alf.
