Plot[]
Alec is enraged that Phil will profit from his ideas. Des plays Steph by pretending that her going on holiday alone is a good idea. Jim is determined to find out where Andy got the £80. Liz insists that they don't accuse him of theft. Vera thinks that Curly is going out with Angie when he says they have an excellent relationship. Curly thinks about getting Raquel into his bed. Percy gives Alec the idea of using the council to stop the club but with Deirdre on it he realises this won't happen. He caustically warns Deirdre to be out of the way when Phil gets what he's due. Reg tells Raquel to prepare herself for the Miss Bettabuy North West Regional Finals show in Buxton. Jim tells Andy a tale about a time he found an old lady's purse at the post office and didn't return it as a way of raising the subject of the £80. Andy tells him the truth - that he's running a book on the FA Cup. Jim's impressed but Liz doesn't approve of him taking other children's money and vows to put a stop to it. Steph spends £500 on skiwear. Curly agrees to go to Buxton with Raquel. Alec plans to have Alf standing against Deirdre in the elections to get back at Phil.
