Plot
Mike plans to get rid of Ralph Dobson. Mike takes Jackie Ingram to "Thorngrove" in Oakfield, the house that she was buying with Peter. She plans to buy it with the sale of the factory and live off the interest. Bet tells Alec about her son, Martin Downes. He comforts her. Phyllis enjoys the art classes. Alec tells Don about the pain Ivy has caused Bet. Deirdre tells Ken that she's still divorcing him - either now or in two years' time. Bet refuses to go to a meeting with Ivy; she doesn't want to get in contact with Martin. Mike hints to Jackie that his and Alma's relationship isn't a permanent one.
