Plot[]
Joanne begs to be able to stay with Flick but Jenny is determined to go to France. Bet wants to know how much Alec has left Victoria. Alec says his will is a personal matter. Flick considers letting Jenny go to France on her own and staying in Weatherfield to see more of Joanne. Joanne and Steve long to be free from their families. Jack offers Curly's room to Tina. She plays him along and tells him it's a good idea. Flick tells Joanne that she has to return to Canterbury. Alec is annoyed that Bet keeps going on about the will. Vera begs Reg not to send Curly away for Kim's sake. Bet discovers the key to Alec's safety deposit box. Reg worries about the computerisation of Bettabuy and his lack of IT skills. He cancels Hartlepool so that Curly has to oversee the computers, telling him that Head Office made the decision. Andy gloats about Joanne leaving to get a rise out of Steve. Liz stops them fighting again. Bet looks at the will and discovers that Alec has left Victoria £20,000. Curly is annoyed to hear Vera had a chat with Reg. Kimberley rubs salt in the wound by reminding him that he can now go to Barmouth. Steve and Joanne leave the street on Jim's motorbike under the cover of night.
