Plot[]
Martin suspects Gail had the accident on purpose. Alma assures him that she didn't and advises him not to accuse Gail. Flick and Jenny are sacked from their holiday jobs in a sweet factory. They decide to go to France on holiday. Flick tries to arrange a stop-off in Canterbury to visit her family. Jenny tells Flick about her first trip to France and Patrice Podevin. Curly tries to gently suggest that Kimberley looks for another job but she refuses to work anywhere but Bettabuy. Gail tells Martin the threat of losing the baby has made her realise she really wants it. Alma agrees to let Phyllis help out at the cafe. Alma rows with Ivy when she suggests Gail's accident is "God's will". She later tells Martin, who is furious. Reg tells Curly that his idea to run a free bus service to Bettabuy has been accepted. He tells Curly to work out the route. Curly doesn't know anything about buses. Percy buys the twins Coca-Cola in appreciation of their good deed for the Wiltons. Flick can't visit her family as her parents will be out of the country. She has to look after her sister, Joanne, for a week before she goes to France. In front of Gail, Martin tackles Ivy and gets them both thrown out of the hospital ward.
