Plot[]
Audrey tries to find out what Mike meant about the tax. Jack tells the Rovers' staff that Vera cheated on him. Vera wants to have the Taylors over for tea to celebrate Curly and Kimberley's engagement but Kimberley puts her off. Ken is surprised that Deirdre hasn't reacted to him teaching at Weatherfield Comprehensive, unaware that Tracy hasn't told her. Bet advises Jack to start treating Vera like a lady. He ignores her advice. Andy is kept behind at school for writing "KB + WC" on the blackboard. Steve covers for him at home by telling Liz he went to play cricket but Liz sees right through it. Jack assumes Kimberley is pregnant as Curly would be mad to get married otherwise. At Alma's suggestion, Audrey decides to go to the tax office. Jack refuses to serve Vera in the Rovers. Vera contacts the Taylors and arranges a meal for the six of them at No.9. Liz apologises to Deirdre about Andy's behaviour, informing her about Ken teaching at Tracy's school.
