Plot[]
The Gilroys' battle with the brewery makes the front page of the Gazette. Tina is thrilled when the story carries her picture and not Bet's. Kimberley is upset that Curly wants to keep their relationship secret at work. Alec is anxious as they haven't heard from Nigel Ridley since they ejected him from the Rovers. Bet calls in Paul Rigby as chairman of the Licensed Victuallers Association. He tells them that the licensees are all behind them but can't offer any firm help as he's due to fly out to the Algarve. Deirdre tells Alf she intends to stand for re-election. When Liz has a go at her, she calls Steve and Andy yobbos for teasing Tracy. The national papers show an interest in the Rovers. Curly doesn't show any excitement about being engaged. Tracy tells Deirdre she's not bothered what people say and is looking forward to moving. Kimberley shows Curly her bottom drawer. Brenda Taylor presses him on buying a house. The Gilroys are served with a notice of forfeiture by a Mr Barratt - the brewery is repossessing the pub.
