Plot[]
Bet wants to take a stand against the brewery by closing the Rovers but Alec has given up. Sally tells Jenny the truth about the necklace. Kimberley tells Curly that her parents aren't talking to her. Jenny tells Mark to stay away from Flick. Deirdre and Emily fall out over the house sale. Curly tries to get out of smoothing things over with the Taylors but eventually gives in for Kimberley's sake. Reg thinks Curly has been unable to satisfy Kimberley in the bedroom. Percy tells the Gilroys they've been too soft with the brewery. In response, Alec takes Bet's advice and shuts up shop. Flick refuses to try to get the necklace back, telling Sally and Jenny it's Mark's problem. Percy stands guard outside the locked Rovers. Relief manager Mr Smedley is refused admittance by the Gilroys. Sally makes Mark buy the necklace for £35. The Rovers' regulars climb over the back wall to be served. Curly tries to convince the Taylors that his intentions are honourable and finds himself caught up in a misunderstanding when they think their daughter is engaged to him. Nigel Ridley is thrown out of the Rovers by Bet.
