Plot[]

Alec accuses Bet of humiliating him in front of Nigel Ridley. He says they have to move with the times. Deirdre tells Tracy that Ken will not be coming back. Deirdre receives another letter from an estate agent telling her a buyer is prepared to offer more than the market value for No.1. Jenny rows with Flick about keeping the house tidy. Gail isn't worried about Ivy. Audrey is put out that Gail told Sally about the baby first. Jack dreams of being able to ride the bike. Liz feels sorry for him and lets him sit on it. Flick falls out with Jenny when she refuses to let her decorate her bedroom. Martin isn't opposed to marrying but Gail refuses to do so simply to shut Ivy up. Nigel Ridley tells the Gilroys that the refurbishments are to start next week. Bet is rude to him, complaining that her wishes are being ignored. Alf complains to Jim about the bike noise. Jim accuses the twins of joyriding, forcing Liz to admit the truth. Jim rows with the Duckworths. To get the bike out of his system, Jack is allowed to ride it. Vera insists on joining him. Emily suggests that Ken could be Deirdre's mystery buyer. The police stop the Duckworths for doing 40mph down a one-way street on a bike not taxed, insured and with no MOT.
