Plot[]
Tracy wishes Deirdre and Ken were back together and is cold to Dave. Deirdre receives a letter from an estate agent asking her to sell No.1 but thinks it's a circular. Vera is furious when Kimberley is promoted to checkout instead of her. Bet is appalled at the new plastic image planned for the Rovers when the Gilroys visit a similar pub which used to be the Dog and Bottle but has been "refurbished" as The Riverboat. Alec calls her closed-minded and anticipates a younger, wealthier clientele. Tracy blames Deirdre's hostility towards Ken on Dave and puts him off by pretending that Deirdre and Ken are getting back together. She immediately feels guilty when she finds Deirdre excitedly preparing for a date with Dave. Vera corners Reg in the Rovers after he avoids her all day at work. She finds out it was Curly who promoted Kimberley. Deirdre is stood up by Dave. Gail tells the Robertses and the Brennans that she is pregnant. Ivy is horrified.
