Plot[]
Jack thinks Reg is lonely and gets Vera to invite him for tea to impress him. Ken writes to Deirdre to tell her that he's staying in digs at 6 Chepstow Road. Nigel Ridley summons Alec to the brewery. Gail arranges to have the Robertses and Brennans over for dinner to tell them about the baby. Ivy is suspicious that they've all been invited at the same time and feels sure that Gail and Martin are going to announce their wedding plans. Martin assures Don that they aren't getting married. Dave wants to know where he stands with Deirdre now that Ken has left Wendy. Deirdre tells him it doesn't change anything. Alec tells Bet that Nigel has a new image planned for the Rovers for the 1990s. Alec is excited, while Bet is wary. The Duckworths entertain Reg. Vera wants to be promoted to checkout but can't get a word in as Jack goes on about motorbikes. Deirdre tells Tracy that Ken has left Wendy. Tracy is hopeful that he'll move back in but Deirdre tells her that she won't have him back.
