Plot[]
Gail is evasive with Martin about her Birmingham trip. Ken has slept on the sofa after wandering the streets for hours in quiet contemplation. Wendy is angry that he didn't let her know and won't tell her what caused his scuffle with Mike. Sally makes a final attempt to convince Gail to tell Martin about the baby. Gail says she doesn't want Martin to stay with her for the wrong reasons and they'd end up blaming the child for hating each other. Reg pretends he didn't know Renee Dodds was being transferred. Renee tells Reg that her husband is after him. Deirdre is shocked when Liz tells her about the fight. Kevin is annoyed that Sally agrees with Gail, and asks if she also thinks of their baby as hers alone. Alf agrees to rent the shop flat to Reg when Curly pays him the £80 he owes him. Kevin goes to the hospital and tells Martin about the baby. Archie Dodds mistakes Curly for Reg and throws him into a pile of toilet rolls. Martin demands to know from Alma where Gail has gone. Out of loyalty to Gail, Alma fobs him off. Martin goes after Gail.
