Plot[]
Mike decides to work for Ingram - if the price is right. Tina buys her wedding dress. The assistant thinks Bet is her mother. Mavis is proud of Derek for climbing the ranks of PPP and tells Alma that Mike could look to him for inspiration! Alma spreads it about that Mike is going to be Ingram's partner. Eddie lets Marie see Jamie. Mike tries to convince Ingram he's worth more than a salesman's job but Ingram knows he has Mike over a barrel and doesn't budge. Mike has to sign a contract preventing him from setting up a business in Ingram's lines and not to use his contacts for five years. Deirdre, Emily, Bet, Vera, Sally, Natalie - Tina's flat mate - Betty, Gail, Liz and Ivy form Tina's hen party in the Rovers. Mike approves of Alma lying about his job as it keeps people off his back. Tracy goes behind Deirdre's back to phone Ken. Vera is certain that Tina is pregnant. Eddie arrives during the party to tell Tina that he can't marry her as he's marrying Marie.
