Plot[]
Martin helps out at the cafe while Alma machines for Mike. Mike's machining interferes with his neighbours' appliances. Jim goes to Aldershot to pass out of the army. Liz is glad the army will soon be gone from their lives. Percy drives Maurice Jones out of the Rovers by instructing him on what sort to sell the new houses to. Mike asks Ivy to be an outworker for him but Don orders him away. Tina returns alone from France and takes Jamie back. She reveals that Eddie is in a French jail for being a football hooligan. Derek offers his services to Mike as marketing manager. Mike says he's looking for machinists. Bet doesn't think Tina's flat is a good environment for Jamie and puts them both up until Eddie gets back. Geraldine Crawshaw and Stephen Charlton of the tenants' association threaten Mike with legal action unless production stops. Mike doesn't take them seriously and throws them out. Josie Phillips tells Ivy that she's working for Mike as he told her Ivy is. Alec invites Victoria over for the weekend and is shocked to see Tina and Jamie installed at the Rovers.
