Plot[]
Charlie Bracewell starts at the Rovers. Bet is surprised at his seediness. He used to be a ventriloquist on Alec's books and Alec feels sorry for him. Eddie Seddon crashes his lorry and is in Weatherfield General. Alan manages to get Rita and Jenny out of the house. The valuer, Mr Stoppard, tells Alan he could get £15,000 for the house. Sally and Gina look after Elsie Seddon. Charlie depresses everyone by talking about death all the time. Bet is shocked when Alec reveals that Charlie is going to be residential.
