Brian contacts Gail on her birthday and tells her that he wants to see Nicky. He accuses her of having another man and refuses to chase after her. Cliff Farmer tells Bet that the Rovers have been drawn against the White Swan, Stella Rigby's pub. Brian plans to enjoy his freedom. Terry tries to show Jack that the car is a deathtrap to knock him down on the price but Jack tells him it's too dangerous to sell to him. Ivy asks Gail to come home before the rift gets too big.
