Plot

Frank discovers the repairs to No.3 will cost £100 so he can't afford to buy the house outright. It is Harry's birthday. Eileen shows more interest in him and Lucille is allowed home from the orphanage for the night to see him. Florrie lays on a chicken dinner to surprise Harry and has to invite Lucille to join them. They are interrupted by the arrival of Eileen. Elsie still wants to know the contents of the box but Dennis warns her against it. Ena gets Martha and Minnie to test their gas pressure as she is having a problem with it. Elsie discovers a snake in the box and surprises Dennis by liking it.
