Plot[]
Part One: Kit informs Lisa that Costello was attacked and is in an induced coma. He tells her about the row he overheard earlier that day and asks if Becky could have been involved. Lisa's incensed at the suggestion. Theo's pleased to see Todd preparing a healthy breakfast for himself. As encouragement, he drags the bedroom mirror out into the living room so that he can keep a daily check on his physique. Summer, Nina and Amy arrange to visit Asha to present her with a custom jigsaw with a photo of the four of them on it. Dev hopes that their support will give his daughter the confidence to come home. Becky suggests to Lisa that Curtis's gang assaulted Costello and she's their next target. Ryan advises Lisa not to let Becky be so touchy-feely with her if she wants to get Carla back. Carl and Ryan both feel that they should manage the Chariot Square. Carla makes a decision about her relationship with Lisa.
Part Two: Debbie splits the managerial duties between Carl and Ryan, appointing Carl as accounts manager and putting Ryan in charge of the staff rota. James calls at the shop flat with some fitness gear for Todd. As he shows him how to use it, they exchange some friendly banter while Theo seethes. Only Nina and Amy visit Asha as Summer is held up at uni. Asha hides her hurt. Lisa goes to the factory to make it up with Carla but as they begin rehashing old arguments, Carla tells her that they shouldn't be together anymore. Summer arrives at the hospital after missing her bus and running there. As she walks in, she suddenly faints. Theo accuses Todd of simpering around James and drags him over to the mirror so he can see what a flirt he is. As Todd tries to break free, Theo keeps pushing him until he smashes his head into the mirror.
Part Three: Todd has blood on his face. Theo takes him to A&E. Summer's embarrassed as her friends attend to her. Asha tells her there's no shame in being helped. As they're waiting to be seen, Theo admonishes Todd for being clumsy and falling into the mirror while they were playing tug-of-war. Todd is quiet as he processes what's happened. Carla asks Ryan to get her things from No.6 so she doesn't have to go back. Ryan advises her not to make any rash decisions; the Becky situation will blow over. Lisa is depressed about Carla. Becky gets her to help set up the Christmas tree for Betsy. Todd's relieved to find out he doesn't need stitches. The doctor is suspicious when he says he walked into a mirror and, establishing that his partner was with him at the time, asks Todd if he's sticking to that story.
Part Four: Theo takes Todd home. Ryan persuades Carla to talk to Lisa but when she sees the Christmas scene through the window, she decides that Lisa is happy without her. Theo is blaming everyone but himself for what happened, even suggesting suing Dev for giving them a cheap mirror. He takes offence when Todd suggests he was partly to blame. Asha uses Roy's portable mat to complete the jigsaw. Dev gently suggests that her friends could help her finish it back home. James finds Dee-Dee browsing information on Singapore. Assuming she's planning a holiday, he asks if she's bringing Laila. She says she hasn't planned that far ahead. Debbie is asked to give a speech at a Women in Business event. She's unsure at first but agrees following encouragement from Glenda. Lisa assures Ryan that his place at No.6 is safe. Becky tries to kiss Lisa again but Lisa pulls back; it's Carla she loves, and she's going to get her back. Theo makes out he's been the perfect boyfriend by taking ungrateful Todd to hospital after his 'accident' and his flirting with James. Serving his boyfriend a cold dinner, he forces Todd to finish his plate to make it up to him.
