Plot[]

Part One: In the street, Ben Driscoll shows his partner Eva Price what he's bought for her - the Rovers. A passing Maria hears the news first-hand and seethes at the return of her old rival. Sean's delighted to find out who their new employer is but Glenda snappily asks if Eva's laying anyone off. An eavesdropping Cassie puts herself forward as cleaner. Eva's thrilled that it's the Rovers they're taking on and not the Flying Horse, as Ben made out. Todd's dumbfounded when Theo plays off the milk incident as a big joke. Eva and Ben move into the Rovers. Leanne has a happy reunion with her sister. Maria tells Toyah that Eva is back. Aware of the rift between the sisters, Eva insists that they all get together and clear the air. Cassie takes Hope to the salon for a Halloween makeover as Wednesday Addams. Toyah's disarmed when Nick pops the question at the bistro. He's mid-proposal when Leanne bursts into the office.

Part Two: Enraged, Leanne grabs the waiting champagne glasses and throws them over the happy couple. George hires Theo to do some odd jobs at No.11. Gary suggests to Maria that she and Eva let bygones be bygones. Dee-Dee is surprised to find out that Ollie is Ben's son when he drops off Eva's daughter Susie, who is now a precocious seven-year-old. Hope receives another nasty message while she's in the chair at the salon. Spotting Jake typing on his phone and grinning, she accuses him of sending them. He doesn't know what she's on about. Ben asks to borrow money from Ollie for a business venture. Ollie says he's not interested. Toyah heads over to the Rovers to have it out with her sisters, dodging Nick's question. Todd confides in Sarah that Theo's struggling with having to be supported financially. Sarah suggests he sells the car and gives Theo his money back. Toyah is about to repay Leanne in kind when Eva stops her. Ordering everyone else out of the Rovers, Eva tells the Batterby sisters that they're sorting out their differences once and for all.

Part Three: Ben leads the drinkers over to the bistro. Leanne and Toyah are annoyed at Eva's intervention and refuse to cooperate. Cassie ferrets the truth about the abusive comments out of Hope and gets her to show them to Fiz. The sisters relax their defences when Eva gets them laying into Nick instead of each other. Opening a bottle of wine, they talk into the evening. Leanne and Toyah manage to remain civil to each other. Theo's puzzled to see the car up for sale. He confronts Todd but storms off before Todd can explain. Eva lets the customers back in the Rovers. Nick doesn't go after Toyah. Glenda tells Eva that Carla's solicitor hasn't received the money for the Rovers so the pub is still hers.

Part Four: Ben confesses to Eva that he hasn't yet secured the funds for the Rovers. Furious at being lied to, Eva sadly orders everything to be put back in the removal van. A watching Maria enjoys her humiliation. Todd explains to Theo that he's selling the car to help him out. Theo tells him that he has a big job at the factory lined up so it's not necessary. Toyah turns down Nick's proposal, telling that they don't need rings to show that they're together. She says she wants to focus on her relationships with Leanne, Eva and Susie for a while. He's disappointed but understands. Ben gets the rest of the pub money in time to complete the sale. Eva announces that they're having a lock-in and invites all the regulars. Jake convinces Fiz that he didn't send Hope the messages. Sarah admits to Todd that she got Carla to offer Theo the factory job. He's grateful but asks her not to let on that he pulled strings. The party at the Rovers is interrupted by Ben's mother, Maggie, who announces that as her money bought the Rovers, it's her pub. Eva's horrified.
