Plot[]
Part One: As Gary comes round, a nurse tells him where he is and that they will inform the woman they know as his wife. Lou is shaken when Maria tells her about the use of Gary's bank card at the Tile Street food shop. Leaving the salon, she contemplates throwing the card in a bin. Kevin strains his groin playing football with Jack. At the end of her tether, Abi tells him it’s time he told his family the truth about his health. In the cafe, Lou plants the bank card in Summer's open bag and then rings the police to report her and Nina for Gary's assault. Gary is puzzled when the nurse calls him "Mr Winter-Brown". Kevin continues his lie that he needs more chemo to Tyrone and Debbie. Gary rings the salon and tells Maria where he is, and she rushes off to see him. Lou is perturbed to hear about the call and starts to press David for her wages so she can leave now. Shona teases Lauren that Aadi seems to fancy her. The police ring Summer and Nina to come in for questioning. Maria is beyond relieved to see Gary who tells her that the staff think he's Chesney. He passes her the phone number that the hospital has for his "wife". Maria finds the same number in her own contacts and realises who it is.
Part Two: Maria rings David and quietly tells him to make sure Lou doesn't leave the salon. Tyrone spots Kevin snacking at the precinct when he's supposed to having a chemo appointment. In the Rovers, a guy called Ollie introduces himself to Dee-Dee and insists on buying her a drink. She's charmed by him. Lauren worries about Aadi's motives when he presents her with an air fryer for her flat. Tyrone confronts Kevin when he returns to the garage and tells him he mustn't skip his appointments. Kevin admits that he's been given the all-clear. James tells a shaken Dee-Dee he’s spoken to the adoption team to set the wheels in motion about Laila. About to go into the police station, Nina and Summer find the planted bank card. Maria rushes back to the salon and confronts Lou.
Part Three: Lou scoffs at Maria's allegations and tells her that she thinks Summer and Nina attacked Gary. Outside the station, Summer denies to Nina that attacked Gary and stole the card. Kevin comes clean to Tyrone that he's terrified of losing Abi to Carl and he plans to be the perfect husband for a few months until she loses interest in his brother. Tyrone warns him that he will get caught out. Finding out that Nina and Summer are at the station, Maria starts to have doubts about Lou's guilt, but David points out that there are still holes in the story. Questioned by Kit, Nina and Summer come clean about what they know. He tells them they will now be under caution. Lauren watches on as Aadi steps in to help Fiz with a flat tyre. Maria puts up a pretence of apologising to Lou to keep her in the salon until the police arrive to arrest her.
Part Four: Ed finds an upset Dee-Dee cooing over Laila. She admits that she's terribly confused. Promising Tyrone to be honest with Abi, Kevin changes his mind when she presents him with a booking for a romantic getaway in the Lake District. Kit refuses to help Lou when she is brought into the station. She's terrified that Joanie and Shanice will be taken into care. Released, Nina and Summer apologise to Maria who is forgiving of them. However, Summer is angry that Nina thought that she took the bank card and tells her they're no longer mates. Tyrone is exasperated that Kevin is still being untruthful with Abi. Dee-Dee goes away for a few days to get away from her troubles. Lauren asks Shona for advice on Aadi, saying he seems like a nice guy. Gary can't remember details of the attack. Sally takes in Joanie and Shanice, but Brody refuses an invitation to join them. He rings Mick who tells him to be ready tomorrow as something is happening.
