Coronation Street Wiki

Plot[]

Part One: It's the day of Craig's memorial. Kirk returns without Beth, who was too broken-hearted to attend. Betsy gets an earful when Lisa catches her going through her files. Lou upbraids Maria for slacking off at the salon before being reminded that it's memorial day. Sally and Tim have a training session on therapeutic fostering. Gary tells Lou he'll buy the van if the price is right. He advises her to stop trying to play both sides. Kirk, Maria, Gary, Lisa, Betsy, Daniel, Bernie, Izzy and Jess gather at the bistro for the memorial. Kit is a no-show. Theo assures Todd that he only went home for the kids' sake and is sleeping on the sofa. Betsy asks Lisa why she was so jumpy about the files. Lisa tells her they're documents from the donor bank that she can only access when she turns eighteen. With Kit still AWOL, Lisa has to deliver the speech he was meant to give.

Part Two: Lisa honours Craig for his bravery and calls him a hero. She tears up as she says he'll never be forgotten. Theo's annoyed when Todd tries to give him advice about Millie. He walks out on their lunch date at the Rovers. Betsy heads home to check the donor bank files, ignoring Lisa's wishes. Carla realises that Lisa was thinking of Becky when she made the speech. Glenda coaches Lauren on her pint-pulling technique. Sally criticises her but is humbled when Glenda suggests she's too mean-spirited to be good foster mother. Lou goes to the memorial to pay her respects. Maria can't believe her cheek and tells her to sling her hook. Lisa realises that Betsy has been snooping when she sees the files sitting out.

Part Three: Lisa shows Carla the letter Betsy found - it's from the police corruption unit. She confesses that Becky was under investigation when she died, and that they were rowing about it the last time they saw each other. While the allegations were later dropped, Becky didn't get the funeral she deserved. Carla advises her to come straight out and ask Betsy if she read it. Lou stays on at the memorial and helps herself to the free wine, winding Maria up. A drunken Kit shows up at the police station and offers an insincere apology to Lisa for dropping her in it. Gary reminds Maria that Lou is also a victim of Mick's. James gets drunk to put Danny behind him. Todd considers dumping Theo as it's better than being kept at arm's length. Lou lets slip to Maria that Gary has bought Mick's van.

Part Four: Betsy tells Lisa that she was going to read the letter but thought better of it. With Betsy still appearing to believe it to be about her paternity, she tells her mum that she's more than enough for her. Sally wonders if she's cut out for fostering. Lou visits Mick in prison. She tells him she isn't going to go on defending him anymore; it's made her a pariah in the street. She says she still loves him, but is going to do whatever it takes to survive. Gary tells Maria that he helped Lou out for the sake of her kids. Lisa's relieved that Betsy didn't learn Becky's secret and declares that she'll never know. Todd's thrilled when Theo promises to respect their time together in future. Betsy discusses the letter with Lauren, having lied to Lisa about not reading it. She wonders if the hit-and-run where her mum died really happened. Lauren advises her to ask Lisa but Betsy says she has a better idea.
