Plot[]
Part One: Kevin's chemo session leaves him feeling drained and irritable. Chesney makes Gemma cancel a planned lunch date with Lou as they're avoiding the Michaelises. A contrite Tyrone walks back his resignation from the garage, helping an over-stretched Abi. Theo apologises to Todd for yesterday and asks if they can continue seeing each other. Todd invites him back to No.11. Betsy senses that Dylan is scared when she talks to him on the phone. Kevin grounds Jack but the lad ignores the ruling and tries to push past him. Debbie arrives as an irate Kevin squares up to his son, daring him to hit him. Jack calls him a pathetic old man and storms out.
Part Two: Kevin's furious at being disobeyed but Debbie tells him he's the one pushing everyone away. Todd has a quickie with Theo at No.11 before heading back to work to help a grieving woman plan her mother's funeral. A fired-up Kevin gets drunk at the Rovers, despite being under doctor's orders to avoid alcohol. Carla lets Betsy return to the factory on light duties. Betsy warns Sean that something's up with Dylan. Ed leaves Laila in Debbie's care at the Chariot Square when he's called in to fix a leaky pipe. Gemma claims to be stuck at home looking after a poorly quad but is caught out when Lou sees her at the cafe. The client summons her husband to help organise the funeral. Todd's stunned when it turns out to be Theo. Tyrone tries to get Kevin to stop drinking but is told to mind his own business. Kevin gets defensive when Tyrone tries to give him fatherly advice, pointing out that at least his son knows him. Tyrone calls out his boorish behaviour and gets thumped in the face.
Part Three: Glenda bars Kevin from the pub. Todd and George act like they've never met Theo before for his wife's benefit. Ronnie suggests to Debbie that it's time they reported Mick to the police. She maintains he didn't assault her. Abi hears about Kevin's altercation with Tyrone and tells her husband he's out of order. Sean visits Dylan at the STC. Dylan insists that Brody isn't bothering him anymore and says Betsy was exaggerating. Chesney's annoyed when Gemma agrees to go out to the Rovers with Lou. Dylan tells Betsy to let him fight his own battles in future. Abi tries to get through to Kevin by comparing his cancer struggle with her addiction issues. He says they aren't the same as her problems were self-inflicted. She's shocked by his cruelty.
Part Four: Billy advises Todd to steer clear of Theo as he's clearly a liar. Abi and Tyrone don't know how to help Kevin as he turns everything they say against them. Debbie becomes vacant for a few moments while visiting Dee-Dee. Theo asks Todd to keep his secret, explaining that he's never had the guts to come out and uses the app to be his true self. Todd agrees, feeling sorry for him. Tyrone warns Kevin that Abi will leave him and take the kids if he keeps lashing out, cancer or no cancer. Kevin's nonplussed, making out that he doesn't need anyone. He expresses his bitterness that he's never got a reward for all his graft. Tyrone tells him that his family is the reward. His words getting through, Kevin realises he's been an idiot and apologises. George lets slip to Eileen that Theo is married. Kevin makes up with Abi and cries in her arms. Debbie makes a call asking to see someone.
