Plot[]

Part One: Betsy puts on a show of being able to cope to Carla and Lisa but locks the door securely after the two women go out. Dee-Dee is taken aback when James suggests that he and Danny could adopt her baby and provide it with a loving and safe home in the US. She insists that the idea is impracticable. Carla offers to drive Roy to the hospital to visit Lauren and Frankie. Nina hears about Betsy not wanting to leave the flat. Cassie tries to make herself useful round No.9, but Tyrone sees through her efforts and tells his mum that their present arrangement is temporary and to find somewhere more permanent. Debbie calls in to Street Cars wanting to know where her pre-booked cab is. When Eileen can’t find her booking, Debbie’s furious. Nina calls on Betsy and persuades her to meet at the Rovers later for a drink. As Carla drops Roy off at the hospital, she spots Rob’s prison guard, Mandy. Carla orders Roy to keep an eye on her while she calls Lisa.

Part Two: Lisa sets out for the hospital. Brody makes fun of Daniel as he tries to teach the STC class. Dylan joins in. Dee-Dee tells Ronnie about James's proposition, unsure what to do. She hears that James dropped everything to be with her after Ed rang him and realises that the idea is her father's. Daniel has a word with Dylan and warns him to steer clear of Brody, but his words fall on deaf ears. Eileen approaches Debbie in the Rovers to make amends but they are soon arguing again. As they shout at each other about their personal tribulations, Eileen reveals that she’s got a lot on her mind as her sister’s got cancer. Stood nearby, Brian’s horrified to overhear the revelation, as is Julie as she emerges from the toilets. As the visiting time at the STC ends, Brody's friends cause a diversion, enabling him to approach Sean and order him to bring in a burner phone or he’ll make Dylan’s life a misery. Carla and Lisa see Mandy emerge from the hospital. Carla thinks they ought to see if she takes them to Rob, but Lisa disagrees. Tracy is shocked to come face to face with Rob in the ginnel.

Part Three: Tracy tries to claim that Steve and Ken are in the house, but he's been keeping watch and knows she's on her own. Desperate, he begs to be let in. Dee-Dee rails at her father and brother for trying to keep a reminder of Joel in her life. She goes home with Debbie when she's suddenly taken ill. Brian and Julie talk, and she tells him she'll be dying with no regrets. Tracy lets Rob in. He's in pain. He claims that Carla left him for dead and asks for somewhere to lie low while a friend sorts out his escape abroad. Daniel tells Sean that Brody is a repeat offender, but he shouldn't worry for Dylan's safety. Betsy makes it out to meet with Nina. She and Glenda tell her not to be intimidated. Mandy is taken for questioning. Tracy is taken aback when Rob tells her that he heard what Aaron did to Amy, and if she helps him, he's going to make sure that the lad has what's coming to him.

Part Four: Tracy claims that she's no longer a vengeful person, amusing Rob. Nevertheless, she agrees to let him stay one night, though making it clear that she's moved on from him. Eileen apologises to Julie but her sister's thoughts are consumed with terror at the thought of dying. Tyrone softens and agrees to make the best of his situation with his mother. Dee-Dee orders James to leave and move in with their dad. Sean goes to fetch a phone from his Underworld locker but changes his mind. Mandy is questioned but denies knowing where Rob is now after seeing him a week ago at her place in Eccles when he took something from her flat. Rob settles down on the sofa, after checking the gun that he has stored in his bag.
