Plot[]
Part One: Daniel wishes Shona and a bruised David well on the day of Max's sentencing. Kevin overhears Abi joking with Ronnie over the phone. Sally decides to invite Kevin and Abi, as well as Debbie and Ronnie, to dinner and resolve the fall-out between Tim and Kevin. Andy meets up with Reggie who tells him that Harvey has another job for him. Jenny is miserable on her birthday which Daisy appears to have forgotten. Ken comes home. Brian’s delighted when Julie reveals that she’ll be sticking around. David's taken aback when Max breaks his habit and calls him "dad" as they meet in court. Daisy hands a bitter Jenny a legal document for her signature. Abi insists to a reluctant Kevin that they're going to Sally's. David, Shona and Lauren are shocked when the judge sentences Max to six-and-a-half years.
Part Two: Fiz and Tyrone offer to repay what Cassie stole. Ken’s troubled to hear that they have thrown her out. A bitter Jenny warns Daniel he needs to watch himself with Daisy, but he thinks it's only fair that his son's inheritance is protected. Shona has little patience with a depressed David and decides to contact Adam about the transfer request. Tracy’s incredulous when Ken tells her that he won’t be pressing charges as Cassie’s already lost everything. In the STC, Brody warns Dylan that if he wants to avoid a kicking he needs to stop sucking up to the teacher. Sally's guests arrive, and Tim and Kevin's friendship is soon restored. Having spoken to Daniel, Daisy accuses Jenny of stirring the pot. David is locking up the salon as a nervous Andy arrives brandishing a knife, explaining that Harvey wants him dead.
Part Three: Andy explains that also owes Harvey money and the gangster wants the proceeds of David's life insurance once he's gone. David talks Andy out of killing him and he leaves, pointing out that Harvey will just find someone else to do the deed. Daisy tells Jenny she's tired of her interference. Daniel tries to interest Dylan in extra tuition, but he sees Brody listening outside the classroom door and refuses. The meal at No.4 over, Kevin is on edge as he watches Abi and Ronnie flirt. Hope brings Cassie back to No.9 where she begs her son to have one last drink with her in the Rovers. Kevin walks out of No.4 after accusing Abi of cheating on him with Ronnie. As Jenny knocks back the wine, she declares it her worst birthday ever before inviting Kit into the back room. David sees Lily with the three lads who jumped him yesterday and sends her home, threatening to kill them if they go near her again.
Part Four: Shona is able to break the good news to David that Max is being moved tomorrow to Washburn Heath Prison in County Durham, but he almost immediately receives a text from Harvey telling him that he has a contact in there. Dylan rings Sean to get him to keep Daniel off his back. Brody tells his pals that he's proved that Dylan will do whatever he orders. Back home, Abi rages at Kevin before she realises that her husband is just feeling vulnerable. Kevin apologises, tearfully admitting he's struggling. She comforts him. David can't see way out. Jenny makes a drunken pass at Kit and tells him that he can't believe a word that comes out of Daisy's mouth. He realises there's a hidden meaning in her words. Tyrone reluctantly joins Cassie in the pub. Tracy, Mary and Brian aren't pleased to see them together. David meets Andy in secret and asks him to kill him in a supposed hit and run accident on Rosamund Street tomorrow to keep his family safe from Harvey.
