Plot[]

Part One: Carla is still recovering from her operation but weak. Proud that Rob came through for her, Bobby reveals his plans to start visiting his dad again. Carla warns him to tread carefully. David's been unable to sleep properly due to worry about Max on the day of his bail hearing. Lisa visits Rob and reveals that now that he's without a kidney she has no intention of helping him, and she will claim that the recording he took of her was taken under duress. He vows revenge and calls Mandy. Lou introduces Mick to Gemma and Chesney, announcing to them they're moving into Mawdsley Street today. Mick asks Chesney for assistance while Lou produces cans for her and Gemma to drink while the men work. Debbie collects Kevin for his operation. Abi wishes him luck and hides her annoyance at Jack’s failure to show up. Mandy goes to the hospital, telling Carla that Rob’s taken a turn for the worse and needs to see her. As she prepares to wheel her away, she produces a gun and threatens to use it unless she cooperates.

Part Two: Max is refused bail. Rob asks his prison officer to unlock his handcuffs as he needs the toilet. Chesney and Mick return to No.5 where a nervous Mick admits to breaking Lou’s dead Nan’s vase, causing her to decry him as useless. He walks out on her. A worried Jack looks up testicular cancer. Bobby asks Roy if he thinks his father is capable of atonement. Rob leaves the hospital room in the prison officer's uniform while the man himself lies bloodied and unconscious on the bed. Mandy takes Carla to the abandoned offices of a transport company. Mick hasn't returned home, and Gemma asks Chesney to call and talk to him. Mandy uses Carla's phone to summon Lisa to the hospital. Nick tells David he can only raise £4,000. Frustrated, he starts to smash up the bistro. Rob hijacks Lisa and her car as she arrives at the hospital. Showing her a photo of his kidnapped and ill sister, he demands money but Lisa insists on seeing Carla first.

Part Three: Carla needs her anti-rejection medication. She is amused to hear Mandy say how much she loves her killer brother, but she insists that he's a changed man. She also informs a shocked Carla about the deal that Lisa made with him. Calmed down, David helps Nick clear up. Nick tells Shona that her husband is on the verge of a breakdown. The hospital informs Bobby that Carla is missing. Ryan tells him that Rob has also gone. Chesney takes Mick for a drink and persuades him to return to Lou. Abi finds Jack who breaks down, admitting how scared he is. She persuades him to face up to things. Mandy admits to Carla that she is pregnant by Rob. Meanwhile, Rob and Lisa pull up to the office building. He demands some money from her and then viciously attacks her when he sees that she's called Kit up on her phone, knocking her unconscious and smashing her mobile.

Part Four: Kevin waits to be taken down. Carla is worried sick for Lisa when Rob arrives and hints what he's done to her. He takes her debit card and gets her PIN off her. He's taken aback to find out that Mandy is pregnant. Kevin is delighted when Jack and Abi turn up. Abi suffers a brief flashback. Mandy is angry when Rob tells her to get a termination and realises she's been taken for a fool. When he deliberately hurts Carla, she walks out on him. Mick apologises to Lou with flowers. David sells some of his belongings to raise more money for Harvey. Shona sees that it includes his wedding ring. Andy sends him a text. Rob prepares to flee, taunting Carla with what he's done to Lisa. She summons her strength and as he starts to walk down the stairs, she pushes him. He tips over the bannister and on to the floor below. A recovering Lisa enters and is shocked at the sight that greets her.

  • The entrance to the Coronation Street Experience on Trafford Wharf Road doubled as the exterior of the Ellingford Hospital in 11495.
  • The scenes at Eckworth Transport Limited were filmed at a storage unit occupied by ITV on Commerce Way in Trafford Park, near its intersection with Fraser Place.
  • Andy Merchant was credited as the stunt co-ordinator and Ian Songhurst as the stunt double for Rob Donovan's fall down the office stairwell in 11496.
