Plot[]

Part One: Lauren visits Max and apologises to him for having a go yesterday. Nick pushes David and Shona to be upfront with the police about Max's whereabouts and instantly realises that his brother is up to something. Roy visits a nervous Carla on the day of her kidney transplant. Chesney returns home with some Valentine’s cakes for Gemma and tells her that he’s convinced he spotted the silver van again. Gemma arranges to meet Lou for a coffee. Kevin tells Jack that he has cancer, and he and Abi assure him that everything will be fine. Andy talks David through the details of their ATM robbery at a Talbot Road supermarket. David is nervous and unsure. The surgeon tells Carla that there’s been a delay as Rob is nervous about the procedure. As Mandy Waring listens on, Lisa tells Rob that the investigating officer on his case is being investigated for pressuring confessions, and she can provide the evidence that the same happened to him if he makes an appeal. For insurance purposes, he makes her record the offer on his phone.

Part Two: Max gets an assurance from Shona that she will not take any of the blame for him running away. In the Rovers, Steve tells Leanne that it was Tracy and not him who reported her to the police. While he nips to the gents, Cassie admits that she really likes him to Leanne and she urges her to go for it. Carla is taken down for her operation. Her match-making done, Leanne surveys Steve and Cassie happily chatting away in a booth but as Alya and Adam turn up for a Valentine's drink, she feels lonely herself. Abi summons Debbie in a panic, as she's messed up making a special Valentine's meal for Kevin. Debbie takes charge. Gemma tells Chesney it turns out Lou and her husband Mick are moving into Mawdsley Street. Lou meets Mick on Victoria Street. He drives a silver van. Having heard from Shona what David is up to, Nick follows him and pulls him out of his car, telling him he's an idiot. Max flees the yard.

Part Three: Nick tells David he'll raise the money to pay Harvey off. Gemma arranges for her and Chesney to meet Lou and Mick for a drink later. David tells a surprised Shona that Max is missing. She thinks she knows where he's gone. Cassie and Steve decide to spend the evening together. Leanne gets drunk and abusive at the bar. Sick of the gossip, she announces she wasn't the arsonist. Yasmeen feels for her and takes her in hand. David and Shona find out from Kit that Max has handed himself in. Debbie gets in a special meal for Abi. Kevin is grateful when he comes home. Debbie takes Jack out to leave them to it. Leanne is touched when Yasmeen assures her that she never thought her capable of arson. She cries, feeling she's losing everyone she loves. Yasmeen counsels her to pick herself up and carry on. Max admits arson under questioning.

Part Four: David thinks Lauren put Max up to handing himself in, but Shona admits she talked him into considering it. David walks out on her. Carla's operation is a success. Leanne passes Sam as she leaves the pub. He tells her he misses the old way she was. She tells him she's done with being angry and messing up. Lou is angry that Mick has blown her out in joining her, Gemma and Chesney for a drink. Lauren is upset at the things that Max will miss if he is sent down. Rob is in pain when he comes round. He and Mandy are nervous when she is suddenly summoned back to the prison. Steve and Cassie kiss. Nick agrees to give David the money tomorrow. Harvey texts David, threatening Max once he's inside. Max is put in a police cell.
