Coronation Street Wiki

Plot[]

Part One: Abi is rattled by a vision of Seb's bloodied face. Nick tries to get Sam to sign up for rugby. The lad goes off with Leanne to escape the conversation. Kevin's annoyed as Abi shows no sign of returning to work. Bethany has stitches put on her thumb. As Lauren's murder trial begins, Bobby and Nina go along to support her while Max follows the proceedings remotely. Gus and Anthea Deering are also in attendance. Kevin attends a consultation with Dr Gaddas. She books him in for an ultrasound and advises him that it's more than likely a cyst. Carla discovers that if she accepts Rob's donation then she will have to go private due to the cost to the taxpayer of keeping a prisoner in hospital. Ryan is shocked to discover that it will be in the region of £100k. The prosecution barrister Steven Poyser gives his opening statement, arguing that while Joel committed heinous acts, revenge is no justification for murder.

Part Two: Daniel tells Adam that he suspects Cassie is drugging Ken. He explains that she's found out he could be the father of Daisy's baby and is blackmailing him. The pathologist who examined Joel's body takes the witness box and states that he was hit once in the face and twice at the back of the head. Tim notices that Kevin isn't his usual self and gets the truth out of him. Kevin finds the subject difficult to talk about but Tim assures him that he's already got through the hard part and hugs him supportively. Carla formulates a plan to raise the money and summons Jenny and Daisy to her bedside. Leanne spends her lunch with Sam bitching about Nick and Toyah. She's suspicious when Sam is supposedly called home for tea at 3.30pm. Kevin finds Abi asleep on the sofa at No.13 while looking after Alfie. He takes the toddler upstairs while Debbie lets herself in and wakes Abi up, having found the house keys still in the lock. Abi immediately accuses Debbie of taking her son away.

Part Three: Kevin comes downstairs and clears up the misunderstanding. He realises he left the keys in the door himself as he has so much on his mind. Lauren's barrister Moya Wadsworth cross-examines the pathologist and brings up the fact that his original report listed two blows before he amended it to three, casting doubt on his testimony. Carla tells Jenny and Daisy that she needs the money they stole from her to buy the Rovers back and threatens to call the police if they don't hand it over. Kevin informs Abi that he may have testicular cancer. She's shocked but somewhat distracted as she takes in the news. Daniel doesn't think he can stand back and watch Kit raise his child. Kit gives evidence at the trial, stating that Lauren used a tracker app to find Joel on the night he died. He testifies that she tried to cover up her actions afterwards to make it look like a suicide. Again seeking solace at Seb's memorial garden, Abi listens to a message on her phone and is distraught to hear her son's voice.

Part Four: Jenny tells Daisy that they have no chance of raising the money Carla wants without selling the Rovers. Daisy cancels the DNA test, feeling it's irrelevant now that she's told Kit he's the father. Leanne accuses Nick of trying to stop her from seeing Sam. He denies texting Sam earlier and says it's obvious that he lied to get out of spending time with her. The trial is adjourned for the day. Kevin's puzzled by Abi's nonplussed reaction to his news. Tracy asks Leanne why she's still pining over Nick when she's well rid. Betsy offers to cover half of money Carla needs with the amount Becky left her in her will. Carla agrees when Lisa says it's a loan, and they'll get a contract drawn up so it's above board. Abi confides in Roy that she's been experiencing flashbacks of Seb's final moments. He urges her to tell Kevin. Brie Benson taunts Lauren, suggesting that Frankie will be better off without her. Lauren takes the bait and, in front of a prison officer, threatens to kill her fellow prisoner.
