Plot[]
Part One: Bernie gets a message to say that a video is available of Paul's ashes being launched into space. Gemma suggests they organise a viewing party. Lisa lies to Betsy, making out her bruises were the result of an office injury. Overhearing Carla and Ryan discussing the night of Joel's murder, Bobby gets an admission from Carla that she had nipped to the factory, but she told the police she was at home all evening with him and Ryan. Billy meets up with the bishop and assures him that he’s ready to return to work. An unwitting Ryan tells Kit that one of Daisy's favourite films is The Holiday. Jenny suggests they have a movie night to mark Kit's last night in the Rovers before he moves into his new flat. Maria doesn't agree when Liam thinks it's time to end his therapy sessions. Lisa chases up Craig for the ANPR details of red cars on Noble Street. She also points out to Kit that if Joel was planning to go on the run, he would have had some personal belongings with him and if they find those it could lead them to his killer. Bernie plans a screening of the video in the Rovers but is taken aback by the amount quoted by Jenny for a buffet. Liam runs off when Mason approaches him in the precinct. Carla sees that Betsy is upset about her mother and tells her that she's certain she didn't kill Joel.
Part Two: Chesney is dog-tired while driving. When Liam unwittingly steps out in front of his car, Mason grabs him and yanks him to safety. Mason tells Liam he’s sorry for his past actions and assures him he’s a changed person. Dev watches their exchange from afar and thinks Mason is still bullying him. Bernie finds out from Jenny that an anonymous donor has paid for the buffet and guesses that it's Dev. Kit orders Craig that any information on Joel's case is not to be given to Lisa. Bernie thanks Dev but doesn't give him any signs that she's warming to him again. Dev tells Gary what he witnessed between Liam and Mason. Daisy is delighted when Kit suggests The Holiday for their movie night. Billy comes to a decision that he can't be an archdeacon anymore and rings the Bishop to tell him. An angry Lisa confronts Daisy and Kit, accusing them of making a formal complaint of harassment against her.
Part Three: Carla tries to speak to Lisa about Betsy, but she is too upset to talk. Craig steps in when Gary menaces Mason. Summer hears from Billy that he's going back to being a normal vicar though no parishes are available at the moment. In the meantime, he plans to set up a grief club. He's taken aback to hear about the video screening from Jenny. Kit admits to Daisy that The Holiday isn't his favourite film as they begin to flirt. Liam tells Gary what happened with Mason and that they're good now - he's not afraid of him anymore and he wants to go on living. A worried Summer confides in Todd about Billy's new life decisions. Carla admits to Lisa that she's broken her confidence and told Betsy the truth about her bruising. Billy rails at Bernie over the video screening. Betsy tells Lisa she shouldn't be working with her injuries and that's why she made the harassment complaint about her.
Part Four: Betsy breaks down in tears as she tells her mum how she constantly worries about her dying on the job as Becky did. Gary checks up with Chesney and finds out that Liam was telling the truth. Billy tells Todd to keep his distance when he tries to talk to him. Lisa tells Kit she's talking some time off to work on her relationship with Betsy. She tells him her theory that the driver with the red car witnessed something outside Joel's flat. Bernie apologises to Billy and admits that her grief has caused her to fall out with Dev. He agrees to attend the video screening. Chatting to Jenny about the movie night, Ryan realises he's been taken in by Kit. Maria is relieved to hear about Liam and Mason. Ryan confronts Kit who denies doing anything wrong in using him. Lisa also says sorry to Carla. Craig gives the ANPR spreadsheet to Kit. By himself, Kit deletes his own vehicle from the list.
