Plot[]
Part One: Nick looks for a place to live. Shona encourages him to find out where he stands with Toyah. Stu arranges to spend a few days with Eliza in Germany. Mason spots his brother Logan outside No.6 in a sports car. He drives off when Stu marches over. Mason tells him it's a warning for his no-show yesterday. David apologises to Bethany for not talking her out of having the operation when he had the chance. She tells him that nothing would have changed her mind. Jesse introduces himself to Nick and Adam. Mrs Crawshaw comes round to talk to the Dobbses about Hope. Hope says she's given up vaping and is gutted when the deputy head says she can return to school next week. Shona's annoyed that David and Sarah aren't being welcoming towards Jesse and sits them all down together at the cafe. Hope sneaks her vape out of the sideboard but has to put it back when Evelyn calls her to come and help in the shop. She runs out without noticing a curl of smoke escaping from the drawer.
Part Two: Sarah and David are embarrassed for Jesse that he's hung up on a holiday romance from three years ago. He reveals that he and Gail have met up since, at life drawing class, and refuses to leave unless Gail tells him to. Yasmeen thaws towards Mason when he picks up her shopping for her. Kit admits to Lisa that he's struggling to make any headway on the Deering case. Ruby arrives home but goes straight upstairs without noticing the smoke. A brick is thrown through No.6's window. Yasmeen accuses Gary. Adam confesses to Sarah that Damon offered to pay Bethany's medical bills and that he deleted the message he left from her phone to hide the evidence. Jesse tells Steve that he's in love with Gail. Steve advises him to tell Gail how he feels. The smoke alarm goes off at No.9. Ruby goes downstairs to find the sideboard on fire.
Part Three: Evelyn puts out the fire with a fire blanket. Sarah tells Adam he had no right to interfere. He points out that Damon's money was probably stolen and she'd have been committing an offence by taking it. She's stunned when he admits to visiting Damon to confirm that his offer to help was genuine. Nick calls on Toyah and tells her how much he's missed her. She reminds him that they're over and can't be friends as it would be too much for Leanne. Jesse tells Gail he's nuts about her. She returns the sentiment. Tyrone finds out from the fire officer that the fire was started by a vape. Stu confesses to Yasmeen that Logan probably threw the brick. Also admitting to stopping Mason from taking part in a robbery, he begs her not to call the police. David considers buying No.8 himself. Gail brings Jesse along for dinner.
Part Four: Yasmeen's appalled that Stu kept secrets from her, saying that it's what Geoff would have done. She tells him she wants Mason gone by the weekend. Bethany tells Daniel that she sees herself differently now that she has the stoma bag and that, while he might love her now, eventually he'll feel shackled to her. She ends their relationship. Gail tells David and Sarah that she and Jesse are in love and they need to get over themselves. Hope's truly sorry for causing the fire. Tyrone comes down hard on her, saying that it was her fault and that she's out of control. Kit doesn't think Joel is dead. He orders Craig to extend the ANPR search radius for Joel's car but not to update Lisa on the case's developments any more. Sarah calls Damon in prison to thank him for his offer. She discovers that Damon believes Adam accepted the money, as the cash was taken from the lock-up.
