Plot[]
Part One: Carla puts Sally in charge of the factory while she attends her plea hearing. She lies to her staff about the reason for her absence. Fiz goes for her termination. Tyrone assures her it's what he wants too. Gail's bridging loan comes through, allowing Sarah to book Bethany's medevac flight home. David considers taking legal action to stop Gail from selling No.8. Sally does her best to stall client Tanya Shepherd until Carla gets back from her "meeting". Betsy lets slip where their boss really is. Tanya refuses to do a deal with someone charged with ABH and walks out. Mason starts his new college course. Billy finds a letter labelled 'Paul's wishes' at the flat and gathers his loved ones to hear his bequests. Carla pleads guilty and is given a community order. She's furious that she has to pay Travis Robby compensation. Her lack of remorse angers Travis's father, Tom. Paul leaves Billy his eternal love, his onesie to Gemma, his favourite mug to Summer and returns Bernie's videos for her to have film nights with the kids. An absent Kit is ordered to learn the moves to Let's Get Ready to Rhumble. At the police station, Kit searches Joel's laptop and finds a folder on Betsy.
Part Two: A stressed Carla fires Betsy for losing them a contract and sends all of the staff home. David discovers he can't stop Gail from selling the house. Kit shows Lisa texts from Joel threatening Betsy. Fiz tells Hope and Ruby that she's had an abortion. They're upset but supportive. Kevin gives Hope money for helping out at the garage during her suspension. Mason tells Betsy that she owes him one for letting her off with all the trouble she's caused him. DI Costello takes Lisa off the Deering case due to Betsy's involvement with Joel. Kit takes on the case temporarily. Tom Robby watches Carla from a distance as she oversees a delivery at the factory.
Part Three: Hope uses her wages to buy another vape. Ruby rows with her sister, believing that Fiz had an abortion because of her bad behaviour. Mason softens towards Betsy when she tells him what a rotten day she's had. Gail tells Shona that David will have to accept her decision. Ruby catches sight of Hope's vape and threatens to tell Tyrone. Kit says he's too busy with work to learn the dance. Gemma accuses him of having no respect for Paul's memory and tells Billy to shut up when he defends him. Lisa tackles Betsy about Joel's texts. Betsy thinks she only cares because it's connected to the case. She tells her mum she's lost her job. Tom enters the factory and finds Carla alone. As he rants about how his son hasn't had justice, she tries to flee but he blocks her escape and grabs her. Lisa arrives in the nick of time and leaps into action, arresting Tom for threatening behaviour.
Part Four: Tom is taken away in a police car. Gemma's upset after her row with Billy. Lisa checks in at the Street Cars flat to see how Carla is. She advises her not to torment herself with the thought of what could have happened. Carla admits that she's been snappy since the divorce papers came through and Betsy was in the firing line - she offers to reinstate her, with a pay rise. Stu and Yasmeen discover that Mason skipped college. Yasmeen despairs as Stu refuses to give up on the lad. Carla and Lisa compare notes on their relationships over wine. Carla tells her that her life with Peter feels like it's really over now. Lisa admits that she hasn't let herself get close to anyone since Becky died as it's not worth the risk. David apologises to Gail for making the house sale all about him. Carla realises Lisa is lonely and hugs her. They share a tender moment, with Carla stroking Lisa's hair. Lisa panics and rushes out.
