Plot[]
Part One: Lauren tells Max about Betsy's visit, and he realises from her description who the mysterious girl was. Carla can see that Ryan is unhappy that his relationship with Daisy seems to have stalled. Hope takes a drag of her vape in the school corridor and refuses to listen to Jack and Sam when they warn her of the dangers. Max and Lauren pin Betsy down outside Underworld. She refuses to tell them why she came to the hospital. Carla overhears their argument, sending the youngsters on their way. Bernie refuses to compromise on Paul's funeral, feeling that religious ones are usually impersonal. Summer calls at No.5 with Paul's clothes in a bin bag before she takes them a charity shop, but as Gemma pulls out his favourite T-shirt, it's all too much for Summer who bolts out. Daisy is noncommittal when Ryan suggests he move into the Rovers. In her office, Carla questions an upset Betsy about the argument with Max and Lauren. She admits she's done something really terrible, and it could lead to Frankie dying.
Part Two: Carla summons Lisa so she can hear her daughter's admission that Joel got her to ring the clinic for the abortion drug, saying they were for a client. She makes her go to the station with her. Ryan tries to provoke Daisy by looking for another job to overcome her objection about them being together at both work and home. When she's more concerned with finding Bertie's teddy, he tells her it's obvious she's still in love with Daniel. Bernie tells Asha to be there for Summer. Lisa takes pleasure in arresting Joel. Dee-Dee accompanies Lauren to a meeting with social worker Ruth Hawley where it's explained that she'll have to be monitored and live in a foster home as she still under investigation for trying to abort her baby. In her interview with a cocky Joel, Lisa produces a recording of Betsy ringing the clinic to buy the drug. Cassie finds a vape pen in Hope's bag. She begs her not to grass her up. Joel's voice is also heard on the recording, and he realises the police now have the evidence they need.
Part Three: Joel claims that Betsy obtained the drug to abort her own pregnancy, but Lisa points out that a medical examination will show that was never the case. Daisy strongly denies she has feelings for Daniel and would never cheat on Ryan. He points out that she cheated on Daniel with him. Cassie seeks Ken's advice about Hope's smoking. Lauren breaks down at the ultimatum presented to her, thinking that she will never have a future with her baby. She's desperate for a proper home, and on the spur of the moment, Dee-Dee invites her to move into her flat with her after her time at the foster house is over. Ryan weeps as he tells Daisy that it's over as it's clear there will always be something between her and Daniel and he can no longer stand it. Cassie agrees with Hope not to say anything to Tyrone about the vapes provided she gives them up for good. Joel is taken aback to hear that CPS have agreed that charges can be laid against him. He demands bail and Lisa has no choice but to agree.
Part Four: Dee-Dee sees Joel leaving the station and tells him she hopes he'll be sent down. Lisa tells Betsy she's not to blame. The teenager desperately wants Frankie to be okay. Joel hands over his passport. Lauren is able to hold her baby for the first time. Asha presents a grateful Summer with a cushion made up of a patchwork of Paul's shirts. A saddened Ryan tells Carla that he and Daisy have broken up. Back at the Rovers, Daisy tells Jenny she genuinely loved Ryan but also admits that she never stopped loving Daniel. Dee-Dee breaks the news to Lauren that Joel is finally going to answer for what he did.
