Plot[]
Part One: Max is embarrassed as the family make a fuss of him on his 18th birthday and he is put out to find that a meal has been organised at the bistro for that afternoon. Leanne is at odds with Nick and Toyah for putting the frighteners on Amy. During Betsy’s attempt to open up to Lisa about Mason’s latest threats, her mum is pre-occupied when her work phone rings leading to her frustrated daughter walking out of the cafe. Carla observes them. Summer sees that Billy is upset as Paul tries to record a manifesto of all the things he’d like him to do after he’s gone. Lisa quizzes Kit about the evidence found in Nathan's van, suspecting that Joel may have planted it. He's alarmed when she decides to see if there's any CCTV footage around the building site. Jack is too nervous to eat before his sentencing. At Rowan's request, a reluctant Leanne searches through Amy's record of her upload stored on his laptop to find anything incriminating. Later, Amy receives a voice message from an unknown number and listens in horror to her own confession of her drugging of Dan Morris.
Part Two: The Websters set off for court in as positive mood as possible. Arriving to prepare for the bistro meal, David and Shona almost catch Nick and Toyah kissing. Paul's synthesiser has run out of power and his list has been lost. Summer takes charge and orders Billy to get some fresh air whilst Paul rests. DI Costello again orders Lisa to drop the Joel enquiry. She realises Kit told him. A panicking Amy confronts Leanne who is troubled as Amy tells her that one day Rowan will also turn on her, and asks what hold he has on her. In the factory, Carla assures Betsy that her mum loves her, and she needs to cut her a bit of slack. Steve tells Tracy that things are over with Demi, and he has his eye on someone else. A tearful Amy interrupts them, telling them she's being blackmailed. Leanne gets hold of Rowan's laptop and finds her own file of confessions on there. Summer offers to transcribe Paul's wishes. As a horrified Leanne goes through the laptop, she rings Toyah, telling her she was absolutely right about Rowan and there is even a file on her and Nick. Curiosity overcomes her and she opens it, seeing the photo of her sister and partner kissing.
Part Three: Toyah receives the voicemail and panics. Lisa confronts Kit, calling him a snake. Amy comes clean to her shocked parents about the incident with Dan. Leanne brings the Platt birthday meal to an abrupt end when she furiously confronts Nick about his cheating. Jack receives a sixteenth month rehabilitation order and Stefan is granted £3,000 compensation for the fire damage. Kevin doesn't know where he'll find the money. Lisa is pleased when Betsy buys her a custard slice and apologises. The two reach an understanding and Lisa realises Carla is to thank for her intervention. Lisa confesses to Carla how she's been warned off Joel. The Platts listen on as Leanne makes Nick confess what happened and that he loves Toyah. Leanne runs out in tears.
Part Four: Toyah comes into the bistro and Shona and Audrey take her to task for her betrayal. Gail tells her first-born she's never been so ashamed of him. Toyah is horrified that Nick told Leanne he loved her. Rowan calls at the flat and tries to make excuses for holding the files. Leanne rages at him, accusing him of manipulating her from the start and making her lose everything she values. She threatens to join forces with Amy and throws him out. Billy listens to Paul's list of common-sense advice he wants him to follow when he's dead. The reading by Summer is emotional. Leanne bursts into No.1 and tells Amy what she's found, assuring her the files have been deleted. Leanne is devastated as Amy tells her she trusted her and now, due to her, she has lost all her money and faces possible arrest. The Websters reluctantly accept £3,000 from Coral to pay the compensation. Billy promises to try and keep to Paul's wishes. Toyah sees Leanne in the street and receives a hard slap across the face from her sister before she tells her to go and leave her. Shona comforts Leanne as she sobs.
