Plot[]
Part One: Lisa questions Joel again: he insists that Lauren was a willing sexual partner with him and lies that she herself investigated how to abort Frankie and then bought the drug. Lisa doesn't believe him. A loved-up Toyah and Nick prepare to go the hospital for her latest consultation. Lisa informs Joel that the hospital has found misoprostol in Lauren's placenta but have found no evidence that she paid for it from her bank account. Joel points out that the police linked Nathan's DNA to Lauren. Having been told the diagnosis, Lauren needs comfort from Dee-Dee, stressing that Frankie could be taken from her for attempting to harm him. Joel challenges Lisa to charge him or let him go. Fiz finds £250 has been taken from the joint account and Tyrone lies that it was for engine oil when the garage company card wouldn't work. Kevin refuses when Tyrone asks him to lie for him when he tells him that the money was really to pay for his consultation with Adam. Roy is shocked to find out Joel was the true culprit. Lauren can't believe it when the police ring and tell her they've let Joel go.
Part Two: Tyrone meets up with Alina and Dorin. She has reported the threatening calls to the police. The regulars are shocked to hear that Joel has been released. As Beth sets off for a job interview, Fiz and Kirk wonder why she jacked in her job at the factory. A delighted Toyah is told she has no more cancer and doesn't need chemotherapy. Lauren fears that Joel will come for her. Sarah is concerned that Nathan will be released but Dee-Dee assures her that the contents of the memory sticks they found on him will keep him inside. A scared Bethany tells Lisa that Joel was the possible burglar of her mum's flat. Tyrone admits to Fiz that he's investigating custody of Dorin. Joel comes to Dee-Dee's flat and asks her to take him back.
Part Three: Dee-Dee insists that Joel hands over his mobile phones so she can check their messages against the yarns he spins to her. Fiz tells Tyrone he's lost his mind and isn't pleased to hear that her husband thinks Alina should stay in Weatherfield. Craig asks Kit's advice about Beth and is reminded that she put herself first when she asked him to look after the t-shirt money and didn't consider his police career. Fiz worries how Hope will take the news of Tyrone's idea to keep Dorin in his life. He insists he can't abandon his son. Dee-Dee hands Joel his phones back, saying she's found nothing on them, but she still doesn't believe in his innocence. She also gives him his belongings back and tells him to leave the flat. Lauren is pleased when Roy visits her and Frankie at the hospital. He advises her to stay in Weatherfield amongst people who care for her and can protect her. Joel calls back at the police station, implicating Dee-Dee in Lauren's attempt to kill her baby.
Part Four: Daniel comes across Bethany harshly questioning Lauren, desperate to make sure that Nathan stays inside, and he steps in to prevent her upsetting the girl. Beth's interview was a car crash, and she's further upset when Craig blanks her, but she refuses to approach him. Nick and Toyah celebrate her news as she thanks him for his support. Lauren confesses to Dee-Dee that she was planning to run away again but has now changed her mind. Lisa has told Dee-Dee that Joel alleges that she and Lauren conspired against him, but she tells Lauren that she also knows how to play dirty. Sarah is sharp with Brian when he asks how Lauren's DNA on her hair got in Nathan's van. Daniel wonders aloud if Kit was involved. A man watches Alina in the hotel bar and rings a compatriot to report that he's found her. Dee-Dee tells Lauren she took the opportunity to put a tracker app on Joel's phones and she's going to take him down.
