Plot[]
Part One: Joel tells Dee-Dee that his divorce has been finalised. Dee-Dee suggests that Maeve could be a flower girl at the wedding but he doesn't think Emily will allow it. Leanne finishes the upload session early to join Nick and Sam at the museum but the trip is cancelled when Toyah is discharged from hospital. Mason clocks the bruise on Betsy's arm and guesses that the guy she's been rinsing for cash is behind it. He urges her to tell her mum. Rowan tells Leanne she's being fast-tracked to Level 8 and offers to organise a timetable to fit around Toyah. Leanne's thrilled, while Nick seethes. Tracy shows up unexpectedly at No.1. She's incredulous to find Cassie installed as Ken's carer. Dee-Dee arranges to meet Emily at the bistro to put her wedding suggestion to her. As a peace offering she gives Emily a fairy charm for Maeve's bracelet, but Emily insists that her daughter doesn't have a charm bracelet. She warns Dee-Dee to be careful as Joel's still paying the bills on his old flat.
Part Two: Dee-Dee finds the flat keys in Joel's briefcase. Kit flirts with Daisy as he moves his things into the Rovers. Daisy makes it clear that she has a fit boyfriend. Leanne turns down an invitation from Simon to visit him in Rotterdam on account of Toyah but Toyah encourages her to go. Betsy tells Lisa about Joel's threats. Tracy says she's back to see Amy but Ken senses there's more to it. He refuses her suggestion of dropping Cassie and letting her look after him. Leanne decides to visit Simon and take Sam with her. David composes a text message for Nick telling him not to sleep with Toyah while she's away but sends it to Shona accidentally. Joel is wrong-footed when Lisa lures him into the interview room and asks him why he's been messaging her daughter. Dee-Dee searches the flat and finds a bottle of nail varnish in a cupboard.
Part Three: Lisa shows Joel the messages on Betsy's phone. He denies he's the sender. David tells Shona that the text was just brotherly banter. Joel admits that he approached Sabrina and gave her and Betsy his card saying to call him if they needed help. He says Betsy had a teenage crush on him and he humoured her for a while but he never touched her. Ryan warns Kit off Daisy but his own head is turned when he catches sight of Kit's vinyl. Steve asks Cassie to help him keep the peace and not argue with Tracy. Lisa believes Joel and gives him a lift home. Toyah wants to prove to herself that she and Nick can be alone together and resist temptation. Dee-Dee presents Joel with the nail varnish and asks if he's having an affair.
Part Four: Joel tells Dee-Dee that he's been illegally subletting the flat and didn't tell her as he's learned from bitter experience only to share what he has to. Dee-Dee also tackles him about the charm bracelet he supposedly gave Maeve; he suggests that Emily sold it on the minute Maeve went home with it. Not knowing what to believe, she heads out to consider her next move. David confesses to Nick that he almost revealed his secret to Shona but it's all good now. Kit lets Ryan look through his collection. Lisa checks Joel's case history and discovers that he previously represented Lauren. Alina asks Tyrone to look after Dorin tomorrow. He accepts, cancelling an evening with Hope and Ruby much to Fiz's disapproval. Dee-Dee tells Joel that he must be honest with her going forward. He agrees.
