Plot[]
Part One: Joel scrolls through Betsy’s social media. An oblivious Dee-Dee reckons it’s time they booked their honeymoon. Hope lies to Fiz that she's going shopping with a friend. A desperate Mason calls at Speed Daal, asking Stu for money. He's offered a job as pot washer, against Yasmeen's objections, and Mason reluctantly accepts. Leanne organises a meeting with the bank manager to talk about the Institute's resource centre investment. Nick's aghast when she fails to offer any supportive words to Toyah before her pre-op appointment. Hope visits Dr Gaddas wanting to go on the pill. After questioning her, the medic gives her condoms instead and urges her to talk to her parents. Stu visits Sean and Dylan and informs them about Mason's job. Sean throws him out. Beth tells Craig that Sid will no longer give her a job. He's not interested in anything she has to say. Hope and Ruby argue when she returns home and in a tussle over a handbag, the condoms fall out as Fiz walks into the room.
Part Two: Joel visits Lauren, putting on a friendly front, but a text from Betsy distracts him. Lauren taunts him into losing his temper and he grows threatening towards her as she shrinks back. Beth asks Carla for her job back but is refused. Fiz and Tyrone question Hope. Fiz rings the medical centre to complain to Dr Gaddas. Nick accompanies Toyah as she is told that only one ovary seems to have cancer but the operation may show that she needs a hysterectomy. She tries to put on a brave face. Dylan tells Gary and Liam about Mason. Gary goes straight round to the restaurant and threatens the thug until Stu and Yasmeen step in. Betsy hassles Joel in front of Dee-Dee who thinks the girl's a client and leaves him to talk to her. Betsy demands £1,000 from him. Fiz is floored when she bumps into Alina in Freshco’s car park. She explains she’s been called as a witness in the trial but is returning to Romania tomorrow. Fiz is taken aback by a photo of her and a young boy on her phone screensaver see glimpses before Alina takes a taxi to the Chariot Square Hotel.
Part Three: Joel takes Betsy to the Victoria Street ginnel where he reveals that he knows who her mother is and physically threatens her. She runs off in tears. Tyrone confronts Jack and Kevin about the condoms. Jack denies knowing anything. Stu insists that Mason deserves a second chance and Yasmeen tells Gary to leave. He does so, but not before making a last attempt to have a grab at Mason. Hope is furious with Tyrone after Jack texts her in anger. Gary informs Maria about Mason but her attention is diverted when an upset Fiz comes into the salon, wanting a shoulder to cry on. Leanne doesn't ask Toyah how her day went. Joel spins a yarn to Dee-Dee about how he knows Betsy and agrees to block her when his fiancee thinks she has a teenage crush on him. He distracts her by saying their honeymoon is going to be in Mauritius. Betsy and Mason flirt and he tells her about Gary's threats. Joel disposes of the SIM card from his phone. Fiz goes to the Chariot Square and sees Alina with the boy in the photo. Alina refuses to discuss him.
Part Four: Beth confesses to Kirk that she's now out of work. Betsy accuses a shaken Dylan of being a grass. Leanne tells Nick that keeping a distance from Toyah is the best thing and thanks him for his support of her sister. Craig insists to his mother that she is honest with Kirk before he'll talk to her. Fiz tells Tyrone about Alina. He tries to convince himself that the boy isn't his and Fiz insists that he goes to see her before she returns home. Sean worries when he sees how quiet Dylan is. Tyrone finds that Alina has checked out and gone.
