Plot[]
Part One: Todd calls on an exhausted Billy and tells him that he was concerned about Paul's statement that it might be time for him to take his own life. Joel advises Dee-Dee to watch their wedding budget, as his divorce is proving costly. Beth shoves an envelope full of cash at Craig and asks him to hide it for her, as she’s planning a special treat for Kirk. After hearing from Hope about the lads having a go at Jack, Tyrone asks after him and Kevin realises his son knows about the deepfake videos. As Amy prepares to set off on her Institute retreat later on, Rowan reckons she’s destined for great things, leaving Leanne feeling jealous. Rowan tells Nick that, in exchange for not reporting him for assault, he wants the £20,000 investment he promised. Kevin and Abi question Jack and tell him that Stefan posted the videos. Joel brings Maeve to spend time with him and Dee-Dee at the flat. Dee-Dee says he’s a born father. Paul asks to see Gemma before he takes any next steps. Stefan rings Kevin, wanting to meet and end their feud.
Part Two: Debbie thinks Kevin and Abi ought to go and hear Stefan out. Beth makes excuses when Kirk spots a 50th birthday party invitation to Marbella in her work locker. He thinks she's been acting strangely recently. Whilst Kevin and Abi are out, Jack answers the door to Stefan, unaware who he is, and agrees he can come in and wait for his parents return. Wanting a cup of tea, Stefan says the milk has gone off and Jack nips to the corner shop for more. Gemma is oblivious that Paul is saying a final goodbye to her when she leaves his flat after visiting. Summer gets a text which upsets her. Paul changes his mind and says he's not ready to die that night. Summer tells them that Felix has dumped her. Paul sees how upset she is. Kevin and Abi return and realise that Stefan lured them out and the burner phone has gone.
Part Three: Abi prevents Kevin from going to see Stefan to teach him a lesson. Kirk tells his concerns about Beth to Craig, saying he's worried that Marco Sweeney could be in Marbella, but he remembers that she couldn't go as she has no cash. Craig says nothing. Summoned by Lauren to fix a leaking tap, Joel goes to her flat with Maeve. She's taken aback to see he already has a daughter and how gentle he is with her. Abi goes to see Stefan who tells her the phone has been dumped in the River Irwell and she has been outclassed. Rowan tells Leanne they need a talk about something important when he returns from the retreat. Lauren is upset when Joel insists Maeve will never meet her half-sibling. Amy sets off. Craig arrests Kevin for breaking into Stefan's office.
Part Four: Jack is upset to have seen Stefan swanning around. Abi tells him to move on but also informs him about Kevin's arrest. Craig questions Kevin at the station, saying Stefan has provided them with his copy of the break-in video. Billy is relieved when Paul says he's sticking around. Seeing that Leanne is upset about Rowan's words, Nick tells her he's onboard with investing in the Institute's resource centre. Kevin is charged and bailed until a plea hearing next week. Jack thinks he's to blame. Abi sends him out to see some mates and cheer himself up. She also leaves the house to get some time by herself. Audrey and Rita think they ought to go on a girls' holiday together. Confronted by Craig, Beth tells him the money she's saving is for a surprise wedding to Kirk. Joel is unnerved when Dee-Dee suggests she has a word with Emily about her financial demands. Paul types out a message saying he wants to hang on and let nature take its course. Abi returns and finds Kevin reading an online news report of a fire at Stefan's office building and calmly says he had it coming.
