Coronation Street Wiki

Plot[]

Part One: Toyah's upset that she can't afford a proper burial for Rose. Leanne arranges a funeral upgrade with George, supposedly paying for it out of her savings. The boiler packs in at No.5. Chesney calls an engineer out. Paul's embarrassed when a mishap with his Eyegaze causes a message calling Felix a snob to be repeated in front of the man himself. The funeral hearse sets off. Toyah's furious when Rowan turns up to "pay his respects". She orders him to stay away. Bethany goes for an interview with Seriously? magazine. Ken's eager to get back to normal and refuses to use his new walker in the house. After the funeral, Toyah tackles Leanne for not backing her up with Rowan. Leanne admits that he paid for the upgrade. Toyah's incensed and accuses her sister of tarnishing her memory of Rose by accepting the donation. She tells Leanne that they're done forever.

Part Two: Nick tells Leanne he doesn't recognise her anymore. She rushes off to an upload session to free herself from his negativity. Summer tries to find out why Paul doesn't like Felix. Paul's apologetic, explaining that he just doesn't like being reminded that he won't be around to see her get married. Ken shuts down the family's suggestion of a care rota, insisting he'll pay for a professional so that their lives aren't disrupted. Toyah confronts Rowan and tells him she's going to do everything she can do expose him for the vile man he is. Bethany gets the job. Her first assignment is to write an article supporting Corey. She informs Abi, assuring her that she'll turn it down. Toyah thanks Nick for his support. She initiates a kiss and he responds. Unbeknown to them, the man who was previously watching Toyah photographs their clinch from the derelict builder's yard.

Part Three: Rowan tells Leanne that Nick and Toyah are just jealous that she's improving herself, comparing them to his toxic mother whose control the Institute released him from. Nick and Toyah feel better after having sex. They agree it mustn't happen again and they should give each other space. Abi looks up the magazine's publisher, Silver Palace Publishing, and discovers that the CEO is Stefan Brent. Summer decides to let Felix down gently, asserting to Todd that Paul is more important right now. The man from before shares the incriminating photos with his paymaster - Rowan. The engineer tells Chesney that the boiler isn't worth saving. Abi's aware that the article will be published with or without Bethany's support. She worries that it'll increase public support for Corey and Plaza Twelve Productions will air the documentary after all. Leanne apologises to Toyah for not being honest about where the money came from. Nick suggests that they all forgive and forget and a truce is called.

Part Four: Summer is about to break up with Felix when they're joined by Billy and Paul. Paul clears the air with Felix for what happened earlier. No.5's landlord insists on getting a second opinion before buying a new boiler. However, when Bernie cites the tenancy agreement to chivvy him along and calls him a thieving beggar, he storms off, leaving Chesney and Gemma worried that he'll drag things out even longer. Paul apologises to Summer for upsetting her. She's thrilled that she doesn't have to finish with Felix. The Barlows discover that the cheapest care packages cost £25 per hour. Amy offers to chip in with her inheritance from Deirdre but Steve insists they'll find another way. An earwigging Cassie offers her services, explaining that she once looked after a bed-ridden ex. They accept when she asks for a quarter of the basic hourly rate. Toyah tells Rowan she'll pay back every penny of what he gave Leanne so that Rose isn't forever associated with him. The Barlows agree not to let on to Ken that Cassie isn't a qualified carer. Nick and Toyah are horrified when Toyah receives the blackmail photo on her phone.
