Plot[]
Part One: Glenda is hurt when Michael seems keen to leave quickly after staying over again. Jenny sees Glenda’s pain of rejection. Leanne returns and Nick quizzes her about Rowan. An angry Leanne assures him she would never cheat on him. Expecting Summer back from the US, Paul prepares for a visit by an Eyegaze equipment specialist. Toyah gets a phone call from the police, wanting to see her, but she also has to go to the Institute’s injunction hearing. She takes her frustration out on Leanne. Cassie asks Steve about a job on the switch at Street Cars, but he makes it clear her reputation precedes her and refuses. Nick and Toyah agree their kiss was a mistake. Toyah sees a man in a car outside the bistro watching her. Having taken a call from Max, Kevin breaks the news to Abi that there’s no way of tracing the person uploading the videos. Abi tells him she’s past caring. Rowan calls at the bistro on his motorbike and handing a spare helmet to Leanne, tells her he’s got a surprise for her. Leanne follows him out leaving Nick and Toyah to cope with the lunchtime rush on their own. Nick’s fuming whilst Toyah’s incredulous.
Part Two: At a restaurant, Rowan introduces Leanne to Willow, the CEO of the institute over a video call. Daniel and Steve visit Ken in hospital. He’s upbeat, expecting to be discharged tomorrow and claiming he’s as fit as a fiddle. Rowan tells a flattered Leanne she will soon be able to recruit new members herself. Paul is shown how to use his new equipment. Glenda thinks she’s frightened Michael off. George is feeling sorry for her until he sees Rupert Copley from Rest Easy arriving for an appointment with her. Abi and Kevin are delighted to read in the Gazette that the documentary about Corey’s prison football team has been cancelled due to public pressure. Michael confides in Ronnie that he’s scared of seeming too needy to Glenda. As Toyah sets off for the hearing, she receives a call which shocks her. Summer arrives back with the news that she has a new boyfriend, Felix. Ken is dismayed to discover from a consultant that he will need round the clock care whilst he recovers. Billy and Paul are about to leave the flat when Paul falls down the stairs. Toyah hurries into A&E and tells the nurse on the desk that she had a call to inform her that her sister has been involved in a motorbike accident.
Part Three: The nurse can’t trace Leanne on the system. The lady herself is in the courtroom with Rowan who has persuaded her to attend. The judge tells the court that Toyah can’t appear due to the accident. Rowan puts on a show of puzzlement and loudly announces Leanne as the sister in question. Dr Gaddas finds no injuries on Paul, but he refuses to go to the hospital. Summer comes in with Felix. Kevin and Abi celebrate their success with Tyrone, Kirk and Ronnie. George is apoplectic when Glenda reveals that Rest Easy are keen to buy Shuttleworth's. Toyah arrives at the court to find that the interim injunction has been granted and she will be jailed if she posts anything negative again. Michael calls at the Rovers to find George rowing with Glenda. He steps in and announces that he and Glenda are now an item, and George should show her more respect. Paul and Todd worry that Felix is too old for Summer. Toyah blames Rowan and his colleagues for deliberately diverting her from appearing in court and she and Leanne row. PC Bowers interrupts them with the news that Rose can now be released for burial.
Part Four: A calm Toyah plans a small funeral but breaks down in tears when the Institute texts her to say she owes them £15,000 in court fees. Nick orders Leanne to speak to Rowan and get him to back down. Felix turns out to be a dull but worthy PHD student in neurosciences who tells a startled Paul he finds his condition fascinating. Glenda parks herself next to a nervous Michael and pulling him in for a kiss, assures him she also sees them as an item. He’s thrilled. Rowan lies to a gullible Leanne, saying no hoax call was made and he’ll look into the fees for her. He tells her not to allow herself to be emotionally manipulated by other people, even her sister. Steve assures Ken that the family will pull together and make sure he receives the care he needs to keep him safe in his own home. Ken forces a smile. Rowan puts on a show of sincerity and says the matter will be dropped if Toyah signs an NDA. Paul cries, lamenting that his world is getting smaller. Toyah sees the man in the car watching her again. He drives off before she can confront him. Thinking it’s intimidation by the Institute, she gives up the battle and decides to sign the NDA.
