Plot[]
Part One: Joel books a table at the bistro for Dee-Dee to meet his parents. Dee-Dee's shocked when he springs it on her. Abi discovers another deepfake video has been posted. Simon prepares to leave to join Peter on his yacht. He's upset that Leanne hasn't been in touch and thinks she doesn't care. The Barlows plan a send-off for Simon. Daniel insists that Carla and Bobby come along as they're family. Joel orders Ellie to cut off contact with Bethany. Sam considers giving up on chess as he doesn't have anyone to play with. Nina assures him that Roy didn't mean what he said before and invites him round to the flat. Craig tells the Websters that they can't trace the person who posted the videos as they're using a VPN. They're furious when he suggests going the legal route to get them taken down instead. Leanne returns home after staying an extra night at the retreat. She's stunned to find out that Simon is leaving Weatherfield and demands to know why she wasn't told. Nick explains that they did all they could to get through to her, including leaving a message with Rowan which he clearly failed to pass on. Leanne flies off the handle and accuses Nick and Toyah of conspiring behind her back.
Part Two: Bethany makes Craig admit that there's a chance Nathan will get off. Determined to see her former abuser convicted, she tells Craig about Ellie and gives him her address in the hope that he can convince her to testify. Joel visits Nathan to discuss his plea. He encourages him to plead guilty in return for a reduced sentence but Nathan refuses, maintaining his innocence. Dee-Dee confides in Adam that Bobby gave the police a false statement and implicated Daniel in Lauren's murder, and Carla went along with it. Roy returns from walking Freddie to find Sam setting up the chess board in his flat. He's annoyed that Nina's ignored his wishes but agrees to play one match. Abi is recognised from the deepfake videos by two lads at the garage. She chases them off when they make lewd remarks. Dee-Dee answers Joel's phone and finds out he's still representing Nathan.
Part Three: Joel reminds Dee-Dee that everyone's entitled to legal representation, whatever they've done. She demands he refuse the case out of consideration for Bethany. Kevin tells Abi that they'll get the videos taken down no matter how much it costs. Nick and Toyah explain to Leanne that Simon was drinking and blame her for not being around to sort him out. Nina suggests to Abi that she tries the online management company Dev used to keep Asha's video off the internet. Dee-Dee lets slip to Sarah and Bethany that Joel is acting for Nathan. Sam checkmates a distracted Roy. Roy refuses another game. Bethany tells Joel he'll be just as guilty as Nathan if he's found not guilty and attacks someone else. Sarah tells Joel that Craig is getting a statement from Ellie. Asha tells Abi that she was able to move on once she got over the fear that everyone was looking at her. With Daniel stuck at work, Leanne, Ken, Adam, Toyah, Nick, Bobby and Carla say their farewells to Simon at the bistro. He leaves the street in a taxi. Ellie's flatmate, Aoife, tells the police that Ellie has disappeared. Joel removes Ellie as a contact on his phone.
Part Four: Cassie opines to Tyrone that Abi's videos are genuine as she isn't famous enough for someone to fake them. The Websters walk in as she's slandering her. Roy takes Nina to task for ambushing him and insists he won't be associating with Sam any further. Adam's furious to see Carla ingratiating herself with the Barlows and tells Ken and Daniel that she and Bobby threw Daniel under the bus. Abi calls Cassie a two-faced cow and accuses her of being after Kevin. Kevin backs her up and sacks Cassie. Tyrone doesn't intervene. Craig tells Bethany that Ellie seems to have gone for good. Daniel tells Carla to stay away from him. Joel apologises to Dee-Dee for not being upfront about Nathan. She tells him it's his decision who he acts for and they forgive each other. Toyah decides to find proof that the Altovalent Institute are dodgy. On her own at the flat, Leanne tells someone how much she wants to be with them.
